A&P is greener from now on!
It is with great joy that we inform you that A&P is a partner in the PCI project, a sustainable and non-governmental action aimed at reducing global warming.
A&P is responsible for the management, maintenance and support of the project website. The agency was honored to be part of this important initiative and knows the responsibility to report clearly and with quality on a topic so dear to all of us.
What is PCI?
The PCI is designed by the State of Mato Grosso and has international partnerships, such as the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). The project carries out actions to mitigate climate change from three fronts: Produce, Conserve and Include. And it was born at COP 21, the Paris climate summit, which is an international agreement with more than 195 countries.
Besides that, according to the State of Mato Grosso, members of the European Feed Manufacturer´s Federation (FEFAC), a federation that brings together animal feed industry associations from 23 European Union countries, signaled interest in investing in the project.
Now you can understand the importance of this project and the A&P´s role in it, right? The approval of many countries in an event like this makes us work with more dedication and responsibility.
It is good to remember that A&P is also a partner of the Programa Global REDD (Redução das Emissões por Desmatamento e Degradação Florestal) Early Movers (REM).
In it, nations are rewarded if they present positive results of forest conservation, jointly, by the governments of Germany and the United Kingdom to reduce CO₂ emissions on the planet

How the PCI Project works
The PCI Project is a collective action based on a global effort to provide sustainable rural development, which brings together public, private and third sector actors. It was launched at the Climate Convention (COP 21, in 2015), held in Paris, with the approval of 195 countries.
The main tasks are to increase agricultural production, eliminate illegal deforestation (which accounts for more than 87% of the state’s deforestation) and implement the Forest Code.
In addition to creating financial compensation mechanisms for legal deforestation, supporting family farming and traditional and indigenous populations in accessing credit, technical assistance, land and environmental regularization.
Goals
The PCI Project has a set of goals to assist in achieving its objectives.
The established goals are:
Produce the expansion and increase in of agricultural and forestry efficiency production.
Conserving native vegetation and recovering liabilities
Include family farming and traditional populations socioeconomically.
